The 99 OVR Chase Meidroth is a right-handed hitter who can cover several spots in the infield. His primary position is second base, while shortstop and third base are also available as secondary positions.
His hitting attributes make him especially interesting against both sides of the mound:
• 116 Contact vs. RHP
• 125 Contact vs. LHP
• 97 Power vs. RHP
• 100 Power vs. LHP
• 100 Vision
• 71 Speed
The defensive numbers are solid as well, with 96 Fielding, 82 Reaction, and 72 Arm Strength. Second base is probably the safest place to start, although his extra position options can help when you need to shuffle your lineup.
His 16 Stealing means he is not someone you should build a base-running strategy around. His value comes more from contact, defense, and positional flexibility. Players looking to make several Diamond Dynasty upgrades can also buy MLB Stubs for other roster needs.
How to Unlock Chase Meidroth
Meidroth is the 25-point final reward in the White Sox vs. Astros Program. You can also pick up two other 99 OVR players while working toward him.
The main rewards are:
• 5 Points: 99 OVR Cam Smith
• 10 Points: Three Ballin' Is a Habit Packs
• 15 Points: 99 OVR Jeremy Peña
• 20 Points: Deluxe Choice Pack
• 25 Points: 99 OVR Chase Meidroth
There are five Moments, with each one worth two points. Completing all five gives you 10 points, putting you halfway through the program immediately.
Complete the Four Missions
The final 15 points come from four missions:
1. 19 hits with White Sox players — 3 points
2. 4 home runs with Astros players — 3 points
3. 2,026 Parallel XP with White Sox and/or Astros players — 4 points
4. 2,026 Parallel XP with 2026 Postseason Series players — 5 points
The easiest way to save time is to build your lineup around these requirements instead of completing each mission separately.
Once Cam Smith and Jeremy Peña are unlocked, add them to your lineup. Their Astros and Postseason Series tags make them useful for the Parallel XP objectives while you work on the other missions.
Best Way to Grind the Program
You do not need online wins to finish this program. The objectives can be completed through several offline modes, including:
• Play vs CPU
• Conquest
• Mini Seasons
• Diamond Quest
For the 19-hit mission, make sure you are actually using White Sox hitters. Astros players will not help with that requirement. Likewise, save your Astros hitters for the four-home-run objective and use them regularly while earning Parallel XP.
A Play vs CPU game on a suitable difficulty can be a simple way to combine several objectives. Keep White Sox and Astros hitters in the lineup, then add Postseason players whenever possible.
There is little reason to rush into spending resources just to complete this program, but players making broader Diamond Dynasty upgrades may want to compare cheap MLB Stubs options while building their roster.
Is 99 OVR Chase Meidroth Worth Unlocking?
For most players, Meidroth is worth the 25-point grind. His biggest advantage is the combination of contact hitting and defensive versatility.
He makes particular sense if your current lineup needs:
• A reliable right-handed contact hitter
• A flexible second baseman
• Another option at shortstop or third base
• A high-contact bat with good Vision
• A defender who can move around the infield
His 71 Speed is respectable, but the low Stealing rating makes him better suited to getting on base and letting the next hitter drive him in.
Final Tips
Start with the five Moments to secure the first 10 points, then build a lineup specifically around the four missions. Keep White Sox hitters active for the hit requirement, use Astros bats for the home-run objective, and stack 2026 Postseason players to make the Parallel XP grind more efficient.
Once you reach 25 points, Meidroth joins your Diamond Dynasty collection as a 99 OVR infield option. You can then test him at second base before deciding whether his bat or defensive flexibility deserves a permanent starting role. If you are also filling remaining roster holes through the marketplace, MLB Stubs for sale may be relevant for those separate upgrades.
