The Tokyo House started life as a few doodles inspired by the urban streets of the Japanese capital. I wanted to take all those visual aspects- rusty corrugated metal, air conditioning units, ventilation shafts and power cables to create exaggerated, imaginary versions. As I drew, rough narratives would come into my head. These thoughts of the people who lived and worked there would help my mind and pen wander, and before long, a whole fictional street began to appear. https://shorturl.at/A5JKZ

One of my favourite photos, it perfectly captures the spirit of rave culture. It was taken just after a night at Shelley’s in early ’91, when we’d all gathered at a service station to wind down… or try to. I spotted these three kids just before they left and instinctively took the shot, a moment that’s since become iconic. Their ghetto blaster was blaring Playing with Knives by Bizarre Inc, and they were completely in their element, you could tell the party was far from over. These were the nights that shaped us. Never to be repeated, but never forgotten. A moment in time. Long live the rave.' - Tony Davis
